Salisbury has a good reputation as a fair course for horses and many equine stars have won here over the centuries. It is particularly regarded as a good educational course for 2yos.
The prize money for 2010 is forecasted to be £889,000 across the 15 race meetings.
Badge allocation per horse is six. Any additional badges can be purchased at the Owners & Trainers Entrance for £12 instead of £18. By prior arrangement with the racecourse, a syndicate head or trainer can arrange for these additional badges to be invoiced after the race meeting.
Car parking is in the Owners & Trainers Car Park just off our main drive and very close to the Owners & Trainers Entrance. Please ensure your ROA car label is clearly visible to assist our car-parking staff. This car park does fill on certain days, when an alternative car park may well need to be used.
The PASS system operates at Salisbury. Please remember that your entitlement to Owners Badges must be verified by swiping your PASS card prior to any of your badges being issued.
The Owners & Trainers Bar is located in the Wiltshire Stand opposite the weighing room. The facility includes a balcony overlooking the winning line. Complimentary tea, coffee & biscuits are provided, and good sandwiches are available at a very reasonable rate. Access to the Bar is limited to those Owners & Trainers with badges only.
The Moonraker & Conservatory Restaurants can become booked up so advanced booking is recommended. We will always try to accommodate owners & trainers wanting a meal and if the restaurants are full there is often space in the Tisbury Room after the first race has been completed. Please see the Restaurant Manager on the day.
By prior arrangement with the Racecourse Office, helicopters can land on the golf course next to the racecourse. A grid reference will be provided.
