Six race meetings still to go
Posted July 26th 2010
The two big Saturday night race meetings in July may now have taken place, but there is still much to look forward to at Salisbury Racecourse this summer. Nine race meetings have been staged at Salisbury so far, and six remain ahead, plus the raceday for
Arabian horses.
Next up is the two day meeting in mid-August,
Wednesday 11th and
Thursday 12th August. The Wednesday features the £45,000 EBF Upavon Fillies Stakes which is Salisbury’s second biggest race of the year. The Thursday features the £60,000 totesport.com Sovereign Stakes, a Group 3 race, and is Salisbury’s big race of the season.
The last evening race meeting of the year is on
Friday evening 20th August. Although the first race is quite early at 4.55pm, there will be seven races that evening. After the last race will be a concert on stage, opposite the Stands, by the American performer, Melissa Totten as Madonna, supported by a five piece band.
Two race meetings in September on
Thursday 2nd and
Wednesday 29th are followed by the FREE ADMISSION RACEDAY, sponsored by Bathwick Tyres, on
Monday 11th October.
There is also the fun Arabian Raceday fixture on Sunday 5th September.
