Saturday 24th July (evening)
Another big highlight of Salisbury’s summer programme has to be this popular evening race meeting which features an outstanding tribute band playing on stage, opposite the stands, after the racing has finished. ‘Killer Queen’ are former winners of Worldwide Best Tribute Act, and are back by popular demand, having performed here in July 2008. Patrick Myers gives a first class performance as Freddie Mercury. Tickets will be in high demand and advanced booking is strongly advised. See Killer Queen performing (this will load their promotional film as a WMV file). The band's performance tonight is sponsored by totepool - Salisbury's 'Official Betting Partner'. Children’s entertainments are provided and remember to leave plenty of time for your journey. The main race is the £7,500 Famous Grouse Handicap over 7 furlongs.
Gates open 4pm.
Provisional first race time is 6pm and provisional last race time at 8.40pm.
This is currently a six race event. Evening race meetings very rarely have an additional race, so the likelihood is that there will be six races.
Finalised race times will be known at 10.30am on Thursday 22nd July.
‘Killer Queen’ will finish their performance at approximately 9.45pm.
