Sunday 3rd May


The season gets off to a great start with our traditional Bank Holiday weekend meeting 'Family Fun Day 1' - always Salisbury's biggest and most atmospheric crowd. Children's facilities and family entertainments before and during racing make this a great family day out. It is a popular day, so get here early and miss the traffic.
 

Gates open 11am / First Race at 1.55pm

Sunday 14th June


'Family Fun Day 2' - Another great family day out with children's facilities and family entertainments provided during the afternoon. Features the £40,000 Bathwick Tyres Cathedral Stakes which has been won by some excellent sprinters such as Sakhee's Secret, Avonbridge and Edge Closer in recent years. Remember to leave plenty of time for your journey

Sunday 28th June


'Family Fun Day 3' - Yet another great family day out with children's facilities and family entertainments provided during the afternoon. Features the K J Pike & Sons Auction Stakes won in 2005 by Sir Percy who went on to win the Derby! The day also features a race for veteran sprinters. Remember to leave plenty of time for your journey. Please note that racegoers can get into any enclosure for half price on this raceday if they have attended either Sun 3rd May or Sun 14th June races. Vouchers will be handed out at those two race meetings.

Friday 3rd July (Evening)


The first of three fabulous evening race meetings at Salisbury Racecourse during July. It promises to be a brilliant night out and a great way to start your weekend! The six races are all sponsored by Castlepoint Shopping Park in Bournemouth. Once racing has finished racegoers can stay on and enjoy live music from the outstanding UK Beach Boys who are "Europe's Number 1 Beach Boys tribute" and who will be performing on stage opposite the Stands. It will be a popular night so booking tickets in advance is recommended and allow plenty of time for your journey.

Saturday 11th July (Evening)


'Ladies Evening' when Ladies are encouraged to dress their best - for some great prizes! This is the seventh Ladies Evening at Salisbury and it promises to be another great night out in 2009. The ladies make a great effort and this race night gets more popular every year. Come and enjoy evening racing at its best, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Children's entertainments are provided and remember to leave plenty of time for your journey.

Saturday 25th July (Evening)


Another popular evening race meeting and features another excellent tribute band playing on stage after the racing has finished - this time it is Utter Madness "the first and foremost tribute to Madness". It will be a popular event and advanced ticket booking is advised. Children's entertainments are provided and remember to leave plenty of time for your journey.

Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th August


The summer holidays are well and truly here, and so is 'Salisbury Splendour - Summer Festival'! Racing of the highest quality promises to make this two day meeting one of the main highlights of Salisbury's 2009 season. Wednesday features the £50,000 'EBF Upavon Fillies Stakes', and Thursday features the £65,000 'toteswinger Sovereign Stakes (Group 3)', Salisbury's most valuable race of the 2009 season. Children's entertainments are provided both days.
 

Gates open 12 noon / First Race at 2.30pm

Friday 21st August (Evening)


Our last evening race meeting of the season and it features the £30,000 Weatherbys Bank Stonehenge Stakes. Immediately after racing, The Magic of Abba will be performing on stage opposite the Stands. They are a "premier tribute to the Swedish Super-Group!" Come and enjoy the racing and then the music of one of the most popular and much-loved bands of all time. Advanced ticket booking is advised. Children's entertainments provided.
